Snowy Scheme Museum

News & Events

The Snowy Scheme Museum has recently been opened in Adaminaby.

The museum is a regional museum on the Snomy Mountains Highway in Adaminaby.

Exhibits tell the story of the construction of the Snowy Mountains Hydro Electric Scheme. The collection already consists of significant examples of machines and materials used to build the Snowy Scheme.

The Snowy Scheme was truly an awe-inspiring project. Nowhere up to now, has there been a comprehensive attempt to bring all its stories under the  one roof, complete with a collection of huge machines. The Snowy Scheme Museum Adaminaby seeks to bring recognition of the achievements of this scheme to visitors to the area.

Opens 10am to 2pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

Groups may also book by appointment.
